Women’s Voices of the Great War
21 September @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
Read to Write presents a reading of women writers during the Great War period. Coinciding with the culmination of the Suffrage Movement, with the granting of votes for women in 1918, the period is rich in written material from the Home Front and from women who were near to the action acting as nurses. Drawing on poems, journals, and memoirs this event promises to be a timely and moving event for all those with an interest in the Great War and in the movement for Women’s rights.
