Gary Swann founded DRI’ s Department of Medical Photography & Graphic Designs in 1966, where he remained for his entire career. His interest in the hospital’s past began shortly after his appointment, and in 1973 he published the first volume on its history. Garry was appointed Honorary Archivist to Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and has continued to collect, preserve and catalogue the Trusts substantial historical material. Using slides Garry will tell the story of DRI from its origins to the present day.
In celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the foundation of the NHS, Garry has produced a new profusely illustrated, book copies of which will be on sale (signed if you wish).
An ideal Christmas present.
