Members Hybrid Meeting – How Family History Wrote My Novel by Janet Dean
July 29 @ 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM BST
Janet is a writer originally from Barnsley, with family connections in Doncaster.
Her novel ‘The Peacemaker’ is the moving story of a young woman’s struggle to make her peace with her father on the eve of the Second World War.
The book is based on extensive family history research of her grandparents’ families, Ironstone miners in the North Yorkshire Moors, who subsequently moved to the South Yorkshire Coalfields. Janet’s talk is illustrated with family photographs, documents & a moving letter written from the Somme in 1916 which provided the original inspiration for her book.

This meeting will be a hybrid meeting where members can join either in the room or on Zoom and joining instructions will be emailed 48 hours before the event.
Registration for this events will open 2 weeks before.
