A talk about how the Government of the day allowed relatives of the deceased to put headstones on the graves of their loved ones. The Imperial War Graves Commission  as it was then known , finally bowed to pressures from relatives to have a say on parts of the inscription to be put on the headstones.

This meeting will be a hybrid meeting where members can join either in the room or on Zoom and joining instructions will be emailed 48 hours before the event.
